Instructions for use of the ear-Portal and its interfaces
Technical requirements
For secure transimission in the ear-Portal and the connected webservices (SOAP and REST) the encryption protocol Transport Layer Security (TLS) is used. TLS ensures that information is secured cryptographically during transmission.
It is only possible to use the ear-Portal and the webservices if TLS 1.2 or a higher version is being used. Make sure that the applications and tools that you use (such as browser) fulfill the minimum requirements.
Electronic Data interface (SOAP)
The SOAP-interface enables you to sumbit amount reports in connection with the ElektroG among others, and to receive information of pick-up coordination. Additionally it offers functions to request public lists and services for own take-back systems (BattG).
The documentaion of the SOAP-interface (Version 2.0) is available in HTML-format at https://www.ear-system.de/ear-soap/v2.

Test environment on the ear-Portal and its interfaces
You can create a test account in the ear-Portal’s test environment and try out many of the ear-Portal’s functions.
Important notes on using the test environment
Please note that all data, inspection decisions and documents that you submit to or receive from the test environment are not legally effective. This test environment is exclusively meant for testing and has no effect on the actual ear-Portal. All inspection decisions and procedures are already determined, regardless of the test details that you submit. Therefore you cannot make conclusions regarding the results or the duration of the procedure in the actual ear-Portal.
Important note: All details in the test environment are deleted every 3 months, always on the first day of every quarter.
