What battery types are there?

One registration per type of battery

If you require a battery registration then do not apply for an individual battery, but for each type of battery. A type of battery is a generic term for certain batteries.

The BattG differentiates 3 types of batteries. Vehicle, industrial and portable batteries.

Vehicle batteries are batteries for the starter, lights or ignition of vehicles. Vehicles are vehicles on land that are moved by engine power without being tied to rails.
Industrial batteries are batteries that are exclusively used for industrial, commercial or agricultural means, for any kind of electric vehicles or to advance hybrid vehicles. Vehicle batteries are not industrial batteries. Rechargable batteries for electric bicycles and pedelecs are thus industrial batteries.
Portable batteries are batteries that are capsuled and can be held in a hand. Vehicle and industrial batteries are not portable batteries. Button cells are a special kind of type of equipment battery. Button cells are small, round equipment batteries whose diameter is larger than their height.
