As a producer of equipment that is not used in private households (b2b equipment), you are obligated to take back such equipment from the end users when it has become waste. To do so you have to provide a reasonable option for taking back the waste equipment. As soon as you submit your registration application you have to state how the waste equipment is to be taken back (so-called take-back concept).
Take-back concept
To do so please describe the concrete design of the take-back options you have created (for example prior existing disposal arrangements with certified first treatment facilities if applicable, as well as the options the end user has to return the waste equipment, etc.). Should you be appointing a third party, then their details must also be stated.
Important note: Even if you are already registered as a producer with a b2b type of equipment you have to lodge a take-back concept in the ear-Portal. If you have not yet attached a take-back concept to your existing registration for a b2b type of equipment, you now must expect that the stiftung ear will check the revocation of your b2b registration(s) at the owner’s expense and that you could then lose your registration(s).
