Ending registration

Registration is a permanent administrative act and not a contract. Therefore it cannot be terminated one-sidedly by you.

Application for revocation in the ear-Portal

Should you no longer require your WEEE registration e.g. because you are no longer selling electrical and electronic devices, apply for revocation of your registration(s) in the ear-Portal. State from when and why the registration is no longer required (e.g. due to permanent termination of selling electrical and electronic equipment).

Important: Your obligation to report the amount of equipment placed on the market for each month in the ear-Portal remains until your ‘market leaving date’ is published in the register of registered producers and authorised representatives. It does not already end with the application to revoke your registration! If you are no longer selling electrical and electronic devices, just state the amount ‘nil’.

It is not possible to have the registration revoked retroactively. Registration revocation can only be applied for at the earliest 2 months in advance.

If you are only intending not to place electrical and electronic equipment on the market temporarily, you may stay registered. Please remember in this case to nevertheless submit your amount reports and state the amount ‘nil’.
